“The cave you fear to enter holds the treasure you seek.” Joseph Campbell
“In you must go. What is in there, only what you take with you” Yoda and Luke Skywalker before Luke enters the cave on Dagobah
What do these two quotes have to do with today’s podcast? I, Scott, will be flying solo to talk about something that is very personal. This is an episode I have been sitting on for a while and waiting for the “right” time. I believe as people, especially men, we cut away and isolate portions of ourselves due to early trauma or other personal wounds. The father/mother wound is a real thing. I am going to unpack some of the lessons I am learning. It is my hope and prayer that I will shed some light on the places we hide from others or parts of our lives that we try to lock away and ignore. This is a deeply personal and vulnerable episode and I hope that it will open you to the possibility of healing and freedom. Enjoy!
