Episode: 32: A Narrative of HOPE

Hope doesn’t just happen. It is something that needs to be cultivated!  In today’s episode Scott and Emily take a deep reflective look back at the last few months of the podcast and the effect that these conversations have had on them.  This episode takes a look at a principle called Cognitive Reframing, “Cognitive reframing is a technique used to shift your mindset so you’re able to look at a situation, person, or relationship from a slightly different perspective. … The essential idea behind reframing is that the frame through which a person views a situation determines their point-of-view.”  Scott shares some deep and vulnerable insights from his own journey toward HOPE through reframing or narrating the past in more truthful and faithful ways.   The HOPE of this episode is that this way of viewing the past is available to everyone and is a powerful tool.  We believe it is also one way that God shows his redeeming work in our midst.
