On this episode Scott and Emily are excited to welcome their friend Edose Ibadin to the podcast. Edose is a world class athlete who competes for the Nigerian National Track Team in the 800 meters. In this episode Edose talks about his early years in running and the effect of a positive community on his success. He shares principles for his success that include gratitude and mindfulness. Edose talks about how the practices of mindfulness and his faith helped him create patterns for a successful 2020, in spite of the pandemic. Edose speaks at length about overcoming his first injury and the Hope and Gratitude that came out of that down time in recovery. He speaks of how Grit allowed him to see that the process was what mattered not the results. Edose’s concept of process is one of the reasons that he has had the success on the world stage! We loved this conversation because Edose lives out some of the central principles of Project Roots and Wings: Gratitude, Hope, Grit and Character.
